Aeron chair damaged by Moishe's Moving Systems

Have you ever felt that this was too close to the ground?
Aeron chair damaged by Moishe's Moving Systems by Jeffrey.
During the move into Happy Cog's new New York office, the wheel was knocked off this new Aeron chair, and the movers did not report the damage to me.

It's kind of a big deal. If they had shown it to me last night, we might have been able to locate the missing wheel in the freight elevator or on their truck. Instead, I have a chair no one can use. The chair cost more than the move.

Well then, at those prices Herman Miller better be able to send you a castor for free.

Moishe's got back to me and were very conciliatory. If I can't beat a castor out of Herman Miller, I can file a complaint with Moishe's. It's hard to say "file a complaint with Moishe's" with a straight face.

So I called my account rep at Design Within Reach -- the folks who sold me the chairs -- and left voice mail. (They don't work Mondays and Tuesdays. At these prices, I guess they don't need to.)

Looking over their catalogs, I've never been able to say, "Design Within Reach" with a straight face either.

"Design Within Reach" is sending me a replacement castor. It will cost $16. They have never sold anything that cheap before. The staff of Design Within Reach held a little service to mark the occasion.
