No chocolate today, sorry. Well, I HAD chocolate, but it wasn't as awesome as the sunrise so I didn't take a picture of it.
Our Christmassy holiday is today and we woke to watch the sunrise from Bethany's Snail Mountain. And I felt sad that she wasn't there, but happy that it made me think of her.
We'd been told years ago that this place was too crowded on Solstice morning, but it was virtually empty. I think this will be our new place to go every year. The view is utterly incredible.
And then we came home and opened presents. And then I attempted tamales (and probably failed, but we shall see). Now I think we need a nap and later we'll go look at lights with Summer and my aunt.
Happy solstice, everyone!
