An hour (or so) long exposure from a solo trek up Tom Dick and Harry that I did sometime last year. I was really drawn to the quiet simplicity of this image in b&w and almost posted the converted version, but in the end I could not shake my fascination with range of colors that this image caught, from the streaking stars to the bleeding spots of color in the sky and on the mountain.
Heh, I remember for this photo that I wrapped myself up in a sleeping bag on the rocky top of the peak and managed to doze off for most of this exposure. The wind was pretty strong that evening and its constant voice (hindered by its cold, prying fingers) lulled me into sleep. Thankfully I set my cell phone's alarm to wake me after the necessary time.
