Back once more to bridges. This time the Marquam. I had ventured up the tram before the need or the desire to shoot this bridge had arisen and had noted the wonderful view that the balcony up at OHSU provided looking straight down the Marquam, particularly of the on and off ramps criss-crossing. I know some look down upon this bridge as not being overly attractive or photogenic, and I certainly agree that it is not as easy to shoot as say... the St Johns Bridge, but under the right circumstances there are certainly some interesting shots to be found of this bridge. For this shot I went loaded for bear, lugging up a 300mm and a 500mm mirror lens along with a 2x teleconverter, giving me a 600mm and 1000mm focal lengths as well. I think I shot this with just the 300mm lens and Kodak 100UC film over about 30 seconds or so.
I like the turn signals from the cars changing lanes.
