Rowena Crest, 22 seconds
![]() A very windy, but blissful 22 seconds I must add. This was another shot along our hike to the top of the bluff overlooking Rowena Crest. This was taken a half mile or so beyond the shot I just posted. The wind up here was relentless, but so was the sun and together they made a perfect combination.
I had to do some tripod gymnastics to get my Bogen into a position that gave my pinhole a low enough vantage point. I actually took a photo of the ensemble during the pinhole's exposure. I ended up with the center column swung out horizontal and the pinhole itself upside down to get this perspective. I am still relishing having a new tripod where all the movements are free and easy. My old Bogen was a trusty companion for many years, but a few too many dips in the ocean had left him a bit cantankerous when it came to assuming these yoga-like positions. Anyway, this was a wonderful day and I was pretty excited to see how the pinhole came out. The flowers in the foreground are about 4 to 5 inches in front of the pinhole, the ones on the far right are almost brushing the camera. I also held a polarizing filter in front of the pinhole to darken the sky a bit. Other than that, it was shot on Fuji Pro160C film.
