My brain has an instant attraction to blue.
Only 2% of the cones the human eye are
sensitive to blue, but I've always thought I
have more. I have to agree with your
assertion of the sky looking like ocean. I
feel like I'm at the bottom of a lake,
looking up at this fantastic column. This is
really beautiful shot. Enjoy the spring!

did you take this on the 13th? I was in
Astoria then. We drove up to the column at
night. It was incredible against the inky
sky. Oddly I took no pictures now. For that
I have no explanation.

This is a really wonderful image. If you
haven't been here, you can't really
appreciate the scale and size of the column,
which makes the image that much more
impressive for me. Colors and details are
excellent.
