Cape May's Cove Beach at sunset.

A car pulls up and their tiny little antenna stars & stripes flag starts flapping like crazy with the setting sun directly behind it. I thought it looked so cool and started snapping away to see what I could capture. I love the frayed cloth threads hanging on for dear life, and how all the parts of the flag are visible — the stars, stripes, even the colors, though they are muted golden brown.

I didn't know the people in the car and I think they thought it quite strange that I was taking photos practically leaning over their hood.They were very nice and I learned the girl's name was Monika — spelled with a K, I imagine, picking up on the Swedish accent.
