secolo). La Torre degli Asinelli (97.20m) è assieme alla adiacente e
coeva Torre della Garisenda (48,16m) il simbolo di Bologna. Sono
entrambe pendenti. La prima fuoriesce dalla perpendicolare di 2.23m,
la seconda di 3.22m. La pendenza può essere percepita osservando le
ombre convergenti (mostrate nella box) proiettate dalle due
costruzioni sulla città.

The University area as seen from the top of the Asinelli Tower (XII
century). The Asinelli Tower (97.20m) is together with the adjacent
and coeval Garisenda Tower (48.16m) the symbol of Bologna. They are
both leaning. The first one has an overhanging rock of 2.23m, the
second one of 3.22m. The inclination may be noticed by looking at
their convergent shadows (showed by the box) projected on the city.

A fantastic photo! I sadly haven't been in Italy for years but I love Bologna. I remember climbing the Asinelli Tower and seeing this wonderful view.
