Early morning near city called Dominical in province Puntarenas on west shore of Costa Rica. It was very special beginning of the day - during a few hours I made a few landscape and many wildlife photos. Everything that photographer need on one spot! Beach was full of life - snowy egrets, whimbrels, kingfishers, pelicans, uguanas, turtles... simply miracle, I wish I was there again now :-)

After a very long break I hope since now I will have regularly enough time for Flickr again. During last months I made many changes, from new job to new camera... yes, that's the most important thing:-) I decided to move from Nikon to Canon during the autumn. Now after three months shooting with Canon 5D Mk II I can say it was the best photographic decision I have ever made. But it would be a long story to describe everything.

The photo above is from my photographic trip to Costa Rica in December 2010. Hummingbirds are known as one of the biggest challenges for every nature photographer and I have to say it is true. At average, from 20 my photos of hummingbirds 18 were without hummingbird :-) Impossible to describe how fast they are! I have to say this is the most amazing animal I've ever seen. Although my prime objective was to photograph them, sometimes spent a lot of time only seeing them. Amazing scenes!

First a few seconds of morning twilight from magical place called Supí hnízdo (Vulture's Nest) at the top of Broumovské stěny national park.

I was quite lucky this evening because conjunction of dark sky and vivid sunlight that covers only a few elements of entire view is very rare. This moment didn't take more than 30 seconds, which means I had a time only for one exposure, and thanks god it was well balanced :-)

This is simple scan made with Canoscan 8800F... Best in large.
