Ben takes a break at Oglebay, but still manages to smile at all of the people wandering by. Ben was a sort of doggie ambassador this day; an elderly woman in a wheelchair was very happy to see him and really enjoyed petting him, and Ben also visited with a young boy who suffered from some disabilities. Like all collies, Ben is cautious about new people (especially after a car ride, something that always stresses him out)—they are thinking dogs—but he is always very sweet and gentle with them.

What is he thinking? Is he thinking, "Why doesn't she let me out there with her?" Is he wondering, "Will she ever stop taking pictures of me?" Or perhaps he's pondering great things, the meaning of life, where we go when we die, why the earth is set so neatly on its axis?

Well, we didn't buy the '56 Buick (Audience: "Mooooooooooooan!"), but we sure talked about it for a long while. Hubby figured it would make a nice everyday car for me (though I'm in Pittsburgh a few times a month, mostly I stay in the area of our little town here) and he could drive the Chevy, and we could get rid of the little truck. Quite a few of our neighbors are not only car nuts, but they have Cars of their own, if you get my drift (our immediate neighbor, in fact, has two).

Don't you love the aviation cues were were still getting on our cars in '56?
