A Room With a View

A Room With a View

So the room might be small:Head and feet are rubbing on tent wall. But the view out the front door is pretty spectacular! The red rocks of Utah were made spectacularly redder during this sunset. Same one as in my previous post, just different time with different colors. This was taken after the sun left, and we were just left with a nice purple hue everywhere.

Watercolors Over Desert

Watercolors Over Desert

Took a roadtrip out to Las Vegas for a weekend of debauchery, gluttony, and some good ol fashioned climbing at Red Rocks, just out of town. On the way, Pierce Martin and I decided to camp out off some random turn, down a random dirt road in the middle of Utah. 8 miles of somewhat stressful 4wheeling later, we found ourselves with a perfect little plateau to pitch our tents on with naught but the cows for company.

Sure enough, as soon as the tents were up, we caught one of the better sunsets I've seen. Got quite a few pics from this, so expect more.

Also as a side note, I consider myself a fairly healthy dude. I'm no Whole Foods shopper, but I generally don't eat much that I can't pronounce or make myself. That being said, we looked back at this and realized that for 24 hours, we taken nothing for sustinance but Jack Daniels, a cigar, and a handful of cheese-its. Felt like such a man (for once)!

As you may expect, this is a pano, (hopefully) lightly HDR'd and stitched from about 40 total pics.

Copper Mountain Pow Day!Play Video

Copper Mountain Pow Day!

got to try out my GoPro at Copper Mountain, CO yesterday. Probably the first good day of the year and man it was good!
I'm no videographer...so I just cut up the footage I got and put it in a movie. Still, I think its pretty entertaining.

90 sec is the Flickr limit and is about 2 seconds too short to see my dumb little tumble. So if you happen to REALLY like this, there is about 1 more minute on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrTjUOW9rac

Also, lesson learned: video editing is much a bigger pain in the butt than pics.
