The Lubbock Lake Landmark and Yellow Rose Canyon parks are right next to each other, so I expected to get a cool picture with a canyon and/or a lake. However, there was neither a lake nor a canyon. In fact, there hasn't even been a lake there for hundreds of years.
Regardless, it was an awesome place to watch the sunset and I was able to catch this bird in a 'downward' position getting ready to take off. Other than the crop, this is straight out of the camera, no editing at all.
