As is often the case with Taiwanese street food, it wasn't as good as it smelled.

Umm, so let's see. In the 4 years that I have been back in Taipei, there's been how many shopping malls that have opened?

Off the top of my head:
A4
Eslite Xinyi
Sogo BR4
Sogo Tianmu
Bella Vita
Q square

And I can only think of one that closed (Sunrise 中興).

That's a lot of new places to spend money but who is buying all this stuff??? I guess the mainlanders? Because it sure ain't the poor Taiwanese with their stagnant wages.
