I took this picture today as sort of my way of paying respects to Steve Jobs.

For some reason, I felt pretty affected by his death. I think, for me it was because I'm such a tech nerd and Apple, with Steve at the helm, so drastically changed the technology ecosystem in the last decade.

I remember I was a senior in high school when I first decided I wanted an iPod (not the one pictures but 2 generations back with the all-touch face. Seriously the best looking iPod but I can't seem to find mine anymore :( ). Before that, I thought Apple products were pretty lame. But with the era of the iPod came really simplistic, clean, and intuitive design in all their products. I loved my first iPod and ever since then, I slowly became an Apple fanboy. So for that reason, it's fitting that my tribute is in the form of an iPod, shot in the same way I remember seeing the ads for it.

I took this photo with fairly minimal editing. If you look close, you can see the iPod is fairly beat up -- plus the reflection is real and everything! It's simple but I'm happy with it.

Surprise, surprise, I have uploaded another photo of flowers. I don't know what it is, but I just like taking simple photos like these.

One little tidbit about this photo -- the black background is actually is just my TV turned off. It served as a really great backdrop.

I took this shot while visiting San Francisco last year. It's a really simple shot but I tend to like minimalist compositions.. and water. It also has an Instagram'ish feel to it, which is nice.

Remember when I used to like, actually take and post pictures? I've decided rededicate myself to my photography hobby. Part of this rededication includes uploading a photo on a weekly basis. I already have a decent buffer of about 10 photos to post but ideally, I'll be shooting and editing a lot more. I will guarantee(!!) I'll be consistent until I graduate NYU.

Even though I feel like I have a pretty busy schedule ahead of me, I am going to try to make photography a priority!

I spent the waning hours of my spring break looking through my photo library to find photos to edit. Tagged a bunch to do in the future and edited two -- this is one of them. This is yet another photo I took at the Volunteer Park conservatory. That place was a treasure trove of photo opportunities.

This photo of a flower petal continues my trend of posting photos that are monotoned.. and are based on flowers/plants. However, I hope to buck this streak and do some portraits that are mutlicolored.

Speaking of trends, I was looking back at my old Xanga (which is still live!) and I remembered that I used to end each post with a song lyric that either relevant or that I had been digging at the moment. I totally want to bring that back!

I took this picture the day after the ridiculous snowstorm we had in Jersey. This photo wasn't exactly what I had envisioned it to be but it came out good enough to post, I think. It has has an ethereal/abstract feel to it, which I like. I just wish it was a bit better focused.
