Sunset over the Transfiguration Cathedral

How do you do them? Do you need a special camera?

I use a normal Nikon D80 with a manual lens. I take two pictures. The distance between them depends on how close I am to the subject matter. These two were probably about 8" apart. I align them for a stereo window in photoshop.
