Ducks in a row

Ducks in a row by Ed Yourdon.
Broadway street fair, May 2008 - 105

Various pictures from a street fair that took place on Broadway, between 96th and 86th Street, on Sunday, May 4th 2008.

This was taken from the East side of Broadway, just below the corner of 96th St., looking west toward the Hudson River. On the west side of the street is one of the ubiquitous RiteAid pharmacies, a branch of Chase Manhattan bank, and a tanning salon ...

The concrete blocks that these people are sitting on are part of the massive three-year construction project intended to upgrade the subway station immediately beneath where they're sitting...

It's an interesting sign of the times that 3 of these randomly-photographed 6 people are busy yakking away on their cell phones...

Note: this photo was published in a March 11, 2009 blog article entitled "Convert And Combine Your WaMu And Chase Cards."
