Thanks, Maggie.

benbenbenbenbenbenbenbenbenbenbenbenbenbenbe nbenbenben and mpk1313 are right.

I was there with Mondoagogo and moleculeman. I haven't looked at Mondo's photos from that day yet, because I didn't want it to influence what I chose to upload.

Years ago I did a dead end call centre job on the top floor of that building (Lloyds UDT it was then). Amazing view over the whole of London from the top floor...I spent my whole time daydreaming looking out the window :)

Thanks all.

@Specky Four Eyes - I can imagine the view must be terrific. A slight compensation for a dead-end job, I guess. I always loved the views from Guy's Tower when I worked there.

@speckyfoureyes - I used to work in the building opposite, over (what was then) the ladies' posh frock shop. The job wasn't dead-end, though (and the curries in the Akash were aces).

*makes mental note not to post any more Cockfosters shots*

Heh.

Well, I intend to lay waste to London in its entirety over the next year. But I was only briefly in Cockfosters.

My original version is sooo similar to this, but I thought it was a bit dull so I decided to spice it up with some processing. It's so funny what putting a pic in GWL will do to its popularity. I actually nearly put mine in, but I thought it would be too obscure!

Heh. I didn't think it was too hard, being on a main road, though I probably should have checked if Mondo had uploaded hers first.

I still have loads from that day to process, though. So keep an eye out Steve, maybe, just maybe, there'll be some crumbs of comfort for you soon...

I quite like the effect people get with poladroid, but I don't find that heavy post-processing often suits my own style. For me, the image was about a minimalist aesthetic, and the curve of the white building against the sky.

I quite like it as it is, but have to say that it has done much better in terms of faves and views than I would have expected, even given the GWL effect.
