HELP, I'M A WOODLOUSE - GET ME OUT OF HERE! (WOODLOUSE SHEDDING SKIN)![]() ![]() We were learning about classification of species, in particular invertebrates. The very next day when walking in Epping Forest we came across this woodlouse in a bit of rotting tree trunk. It's an arthropod and it is also a crustracean. As such it has a hard exoskeleton which it sheds from time to time as it grows. I have never seen this in my life before so it was quite interesting. I guess it was all transparent while he was in it, but goes white after he gets out of it.
