Hashim - hahahaha found your way over to the food-set, did you? I was bumming around on the computer late last night, totally half-asleep, but your comment woke me up and made me laugh out loud.

They tasted YUMMY. You would have liked 'em much, I think. Pretty much just like samosas, except I think these were stuffed with crab. Or maybe it was cream cheese. Or both. Regardless, they were hella good.

I think I recall they were a bit sugary-sweet from the outside, though, which is one of the issues I have with South East Asian food. I'm highly wary of Thai food, for example, because it tastes so sweet, and I don't like my rice/vegetables/etc. being sweet. Savory/spicy is the way to go. Got any good Thai food recommendations, if you're a fan?

btw, i thot the above were somosey... they looked it, but i wasn't sure. they do look near perfect on the outside - but not quite the *flaky* look of the aforementioned.

So funny you thought these were samosay. =) Which reminds me, check the link above for my samosa/naan food story from last week.

Also, I like this picture because of the three different-colored sauces on the side. Can't remember what any of them were. But the different compartments make me think of paint. ;)
