Thanks, buddy! I quite like this one, too,
and since I keep coming back to stare at the
calmness of it, I think I REALLY need to
start printing/framing my digital photos.
Haven't developed anything since I got the
digicam last summer. Flickr is fun and all,
but holding real deal photos in your hands is
awesome.

yah, agreed on the *prints* vs. *web display*
images.
frames are nice too...
i've done stuff for friends/family. then
later had them framed and gave them as gifts.
really enjoy doing so - especially if i
like how the shot turned out.

I love the colours, I love the light, the
shade, the kameez :o) Hashim is so right, you
can actually feel/smell/touch/hear the
different sensations one would experiance by
being in this photo by simply looking at it.
The gentle breeze, the warm sun hitting the
face and the cool freshness of the grass.
This image really transports you there.
Perfect.

Hashim - I've taken SO MANY pictures of my
adorably edible nieces/nephews/cousins, but
I'm too lazy to develop them. Seriously need
to get on with it, because I know the
relatives would love 'em.
Adalzai - aww shucks. And your description
was spot-on; that's EXACTLY what it was like,
too. Thanks for the lovely comment, buddy. =)

Love this photo. It's cool how the pattern
and colour on your kameez resembles the
'grassy stuff' you're sitting on.

GhettoP - Thanks, buddy. I like, too! =)
samyiii - I can see why my friends tell me
I need more green in my wardrobe, cuz it look
so fun here. I remember I sat down on the
'grassy stuff' here, pre-another bout of
gardening (ugh), just chillin', and then I
realized how cool all the green looked, so I
had to grab my camera. And there you have it.

Missy, do you realize that you're sitting in
a bunch of 4-leaf clovers?
Ohh you rocking, lucky woman =)
I bought something green for you. Gimme
your address and I'll be sending it on it's

Beautiful composition. Yes, we all need to
meditate once in a while to get the peace
we're searching for.

I can never sit in shrubs like that.
I have this fear of crawling insects and
scorpions which linger around our house all
the time, and even though its green; can't
enjoy it.

monologist - I've already sent you emails on
how rocking it was of you to randomly buy me
something green. =) So let's address the
other part of your comment: ONLY I would be
so damn oblivious as to sit surrounded by a
bunch of 4-leaf clovers and not even notice.
hahaha
wildcats' fan - Thank you. =) And
meditation in the sunshine is AWESOME.
(Although I don't know if I really meditate,
so to speak. I just sit there and squint
happily at the sunny sky. Does that count?)
TDH - hahaha stop tryna RUIN it for me!
Actually, I was sitting on a railroad tie
(oooh, RAILROADS, Hashim!), one of several that we used to separate
the different gardening plots in our yard,
and I bet you there were BAJILLIONS of bugs
under and around there.

I remember walking on such things when I was
in the Bay Area and now seeing this is making
me miss the coast. It's been in upper 50s and
lower 60s recently here in NY which is TOO
COLD FOR MAY
