gorgeous! personally i'd go for a slight crop, but i love all the colours so then i'm thinking maybe i wouldn't/shouldn't... i want to learn how to ride a bike, i'm so lame... i hate it when i go to any european city and the transport culture is very much vespa/bike orientated and i can't do that because i don't know how to ride a bike. i recently went to our local park and i saw the sweetest thing there. this pakistani man with his wife (they looked like they had recently gotten married and she was from pakistan and the guy was from the UK) and he was in this park with her in broad daylight teaching her how to ride a bike, it was all very cute :o)

i like this shot too. the vertical bars of colours are great.

and Adalzai: i don't know how to ride a bike either. it's hella embarrassing. my dad gave up on me when i was 8 or something and i never really tried again. this was supposed to be the summer i learned, but it's way too hot to be outside much.
but it's good to know i'm not the only one. but i still totally want to learn.
i also want to learn how to swim, but that's for another whine.

zana,
yeah, it's kinda crooked, but maybe there's a little bit of an appeal in that. i'm still trying to figure it out. but i like all the colors, too. your story about the pakistani man and his wife is super sweet. =) i lowe it.

preeti,
ediblicious! haha

COMD,
just for you! (and me.)

fathima,
did you just say "HELLA"? =)
re. prayer beads: i think they're just think strips of paper, with something typed out in black font (i think i read "...ANCA" on there?)
re. bikes: i know how to ride one, in fact, used to regularly ride bikes since i was a kid, up until a few years ago. now it's been years since i've been on one. i'm sure it'll come back naturally, i just have to work on being interested enough to get on one. plus, the city i live in is not bike-friendly at all - especially my neighborhood, with its narrow, winding roads. scary.

they're YUMMY colors, anjum! =)
re. swimming: well, okay, so this was how it was: when i was 8 or so, the parents signed up us kids for a swimming course that was a few weeks long. basically, we were supposed to learn the basics through this intro course, then move forward into more advanced swimming classes. at the end of the few weeks, we had a little test - we were supposed to be able to tread water for 60 seconds. if we passed that, we could move on to the next level.

i did not pass (i think i treaded water for about 45-50 seconds, but a full minute was just too much. haha). and then the parents somehow never got around to re-registering me to repeat the intro class. and that was all! the end.

then things like this happen, and i wonder how much easier and safer it would be to know how to swim. it must be helpful.

zana, if it makes you feel any better.. i have never skiied or rollerbladed before, and can only barely ice skate. but i DO love driving, and i love driving fast, and sometimes i even drive while taking pictures. much to hashim's dismay. (too lazy to link to some of my while-driving pictures. maybe hashim will do it for me.)

i ... i did. i even say it out loud now. and not just when i'm talking to myself. which, ok, i do a lot. but i'm a fascinating person to talk to.

Adalzai:
it's like - you're basically me. except i have tried many times to learn to rollerblade but i like to keep the skin on my face, so i stopped. and i got my official driver's licence a few months ago.
we've all got issues. at least some of us own up to it.
k, this the goal, folks: i am going to learn to ice-skate this winter. also, i will enrol in karate classes. k? cools. but now i need to find money.

i tried to take rollerblading classes last summer and before my first class i dropped out. i always do that, drop out, i am a big fat dropout, can't dedicate myself to anything, very bad. i also enrolled for a 20 week italian language course, dropped out. i now want to do a asian bridal make up course... but i know i'm going to... yes, you've guessed... drop out.

awww anjum, that's too bad! you were here at a time when my life was all topsy turvy :o) next time inshallah
