Let's have a look at what I have lost, most of the data from my Kahsmir got lost because I never had a backup with me and hence teh change in nick..Only five pic are with me from that beautiful place..where I won't be able to go again at least in my lifetime.

It's absolutely beautiful! So sorry you lost your other photos. Have you tried a data recovery company?

Beautiful capture. Sad about your loss, but learn from this, move on, that is cheer up, and get rid of this "(Sad, Silent, and .... )" bit now. We should not always remind ourselves about the sad and tragic moments in our lives, nor should we sadden and burden others with our bereavement. Pardise is not lost, it is waiting to be discovered:-)

Thanks you all you guys for liking the photo and giving me courage to get rid of the melancholic feelings that I have been going through. Yes, Distortions_Born is right regarding the special permission, We were not allowed to cross many areas including this without special persmission from the Army. It is true that this is not Minimarg valley which requires high level of permission, but for people like us who are coming from other parts of country you can't directly access these areas.

We were stopped and were taken into custody many times by the agencies for crossing and photographing the areas and on the last day it took us more than three hours to get ourselves identified properly and getting free from the agency. So, I guess that last time I had the country's best man with me whose contacts brought us out every time from the agencies but next time, I may not be able to go alone to shoot these areas without any such help.

I am not sure which areas you are talking about. In 2005, I went straight upto where Indian soldier was patrolling at the border called Tetri Noot in Azad Kashmir, a place from where many people used to jump to cross what they call border. I even made a handy cam movie, took some nervous shots and backed off. I wasn't stopped. Maybe because I was travelling with a Kashmiri. Not so sure. It was one month after the deadly earthquake. Eventually, some of those shots were published by Lahore-based Friday Times.
