Towel Day 2006
Today is Towel Day, a fan tribute in remembrance of the late, great Douglas Adams and that is an official HG2G towel. (We've got three!)
Israelis do *not* get HG2G. On opening night of the movie, out of a packed movie theater, I was one of only two people who showed up with a towel. (And the reason I know is because, as usual, we were there a good 20 minutes ahead of everyone else and I sat watching the rest of the audience file in.) Oh well, let Vogons, be Vogons. (Just a quick cultural note, we Israelis do not hitchhike with the traditional "thumb out" gesture; we point down with our index finger...which probably means something, but I'll be darned if I know what.) (and, to no one's surprise, there's a flickr group for just this subject...) Commentsphotobonnie
