SLO Lightening Bolts by YardSale.
Thursday night a bunch of us Bike Happening folks were having a "rolling meeting" around SLO. Lightening was flashing every where that night so we decided to take our bikes to the highest point in downtown and watch the show. I saw more lightening that night then I have seen in my entire life. (Photo by Bo)

mmmMMMMMmmmm! lightening is the one special thing about east coast summers. you can spot a fellow west coaster by the gaping jaw.

Jeeeez! How long was this exposure!? That's some of the most astounding lighting I've seen in a picture! This was a film SLR? Way to go BO! Thanks for sharing.

It almost looks like it's HITTING the tree in front of you guys, though the scales are wrong. Still, woweee, you got more lightning right here than Denver got all summer! I didn't think CA got lightning...

Great picture. The one question is have though, is "Lightning was flashing every where that night so we decided to take our bikes to the highest point in downtown and watch the show." Weren't you worried about becoming human lightning rods?

Every where off in the distance. When things got closer, like the lightning in this photo, we all had that funny feeling at the same time that we weren't in the best place to see the show any more.
