Lake Titicaca Uros (Floating Islands)

There are about 40 floating island on Lake Titicaca that are made of spongy totora reeds. There are churches, schools and clinics too. The Uros fled from the land to escape conflicts with the Collas and Incas. Nowadays, they have intermarried with the Aymaras, and speak the language.
