Oscar with worm farm
![]() Oscar the cat looking at the new Worm Factory.
It is made by Reln out of recycled plastic from car batteries, milk crates and manufacturers' scrap. The material polypropylene is inert and ensures that no toxic substances leach into the worm farm during its use or at the end of its life. It was designed for use in all types of residential areas, (particularly high-density residential areas that typically have little control over waste disposal) without causing unpleasant environmental or health side-effects, or odours. The factory itself can be recycled at the end of its useful life. Even the packaging is recycled. The lid gets used as a cover for the coconut (coir) matting and the plastic materials can be mailed back to Reln to be recycled. Talk about wonderful design!
