south by, in a nutshell

south by, in a nutshell by xian.
there was one that said we weren't prepared and were just promoting our book, too.

i do wish we had explicated an example pattern. the summit talk with slides will be more useful, i think. but then this was a core conversation. we tried to seed it and then go with what the room wanted to talk about. that's unstructured for a panel.

also, we could have walked through the handout all together. live and learn.

Saw your presentation it's very informative - it's probably really hard to capture the attention of a wild cross-section of participants so don't beat yourself up! It's quite a dense deck on your blog (+160 pages), was it the deck you presented with?

Thanks, Cathy! I don't dwell on criticism in a negative way like that but I do try to learn from it!

We presented at SxSW to several hundred people with just a two-sided handout for the first 50 (we were expecting many fewer), and it was a conversation, so it went with its own momentum after a while, but in retrospect I would have spent a bit more time laying out the boundaries of the topic.
