Christmas Cards from a Mayan Village in Guatemala

Christmas Cards from a Mayan Village in Guatemala by xeni.
Hand-drawn Christmas cards from a K'iche Mayan village in the Dept. of Sololá, Guatemala. Along with family and tech world friends, I work with local community leaders there in an international nonprofit that supports economic and social sustainability. These holiday cards included beautiful hand-written notes, some from adults, some from children. I've removed the private messages, because they're private, but I'm sharing the beautiful artwork here with the world.

Did you notice that there is no Santa in any of them? I was on the Ixil Triangle during the weekend and it was nice to see the simplicity and beauty of their celebrations...

;) Thanks for sharing!
