Seize the moment

Just landed in Paris Charles de Gales Airport. I turned back to the 747 as I was entering the shuttle and I immediately thought I couldn't miss this shot. Hopefully I had my D300 around and a second before the doors of the bus closed I made the decisive click. How many times did I wish to have a censor behind my right eye and a simple blink would instantly capture the scene. How many shots did I miss because I was lazy or not fast enough or thinking that I would not be fast enough or finally just uncomfortable with the situation of shooting…? Many shots lost. The D300 is not exactly the kind of point and shoot camera. Having the right settings for the right exposure in a matter of second is either luck or... luck. Well maybe with experience you can choose quickly the most forgiving settings. That's what I did here together with some post-treatment in Lightroom. Well, I thought I wanted to share the result of this short story here with you and pass the following message: Carrying your camera around is just not enough, have the right bag (one that will make your camera really accessible), be fast, don't be lazy, don't think you can't, just go for it, you'll be surprised with what you can do. Be spontaneous, seize the moment. Trust in you. Oh, and one last thing: please... check this one at large. CommentsMark A. Rowland
