At the gate of the church "Nuestra Señora de los Remedios" in Cholula, Puebla (Mexico).

I have the habit to do a special little prayer each time I enter a church I have never been before, this one is for you my love.

A walk in Puebla, Mexico

A walk in Puebla, Mexico

I've been quite away from flickr and from my camera lately. This business trip in Mexico was a chance to hang out in the streets of Puebla with my favorite 50mm lens. I miss taking pics and being more on flickr...

Construction of the Digital TV Tower in Brasília, a project by Oscar Niemeyer

The 185m height tower (equivalent to a 62 floors building) will be the new post-card of Brasília. There will be two glass domes on each side, in the highest one (80 meters high) there will be a restaurant with a panoramic view. The other one (60 meters high) will host a gallery for exhibitions. The foundation of the building is 13.4 meters deep with 2 billion cubic meters of concrete.

The prevision is that the concrete part should be ready for the 50th anniversary of Brasília on the 21st of April. The 60 meters metallic antenna on top of the tower, that will allow the transmission of the digital signal, should be ready by July 2010.

Click here to see how the tower will look like when finished.

"Photo of the month" in a French Photo Magazine, wow :)

"Photo of the month" in a French Photo Magazine, wow :)

One of my photo (actually my most popular photo on flickr) has been selected (through a flickr group) and has been published in the paper version of the french photo magazine:
Le Monde de la Photo n°23.

So... the thing is that I knew my photo would be published (since they asked permission) but I had NO IDEA that it would be printed on a double page as THE photo of the month!! That was quite a surprise and I was obviously honored... but at the very same time I cannot remove from my mind that they are making money using photos they pay nothing for. Hmmm...

From the magazine website:

With a surface of 3450 m2, Bordeaux is equipped with the largest water mirror of the world. Located vis-a-vis the place of the Stock Exchange, this installation imagined by the Parisian fountain-maker Jean-max Llorca. The system makes it possible to reveal one after the other a mirror effect (with 2 centimeters of water stagnating on a granite flagstone) and a fog effect which can reach up to 2 meters height.
