As a comparison here my 1/3 cost image from one of the front rows taken with a Pentax K100D and a 200mm Pentax zoom lens, with no monopod, handheld and at ISO 800 _ I also did some cropping and sharpening in LR: I guess your lens is way better and probably the Canon focusing mechanism as well. 	duncandavidson says: No post tweaking to speak of other than probably setting exposure and levels, the kind of thing I always do. Also, there's probably a bit of Edge Sharpen out of Aperture 2 (which I was using on this conf). But really, the difference you're seeing is the 300mm lens. It's one of the sharpest lenses I've ever had the pleasure of using. The focusing, otoh, well, it's a mk3. It's focus is sometimes perfect and other times, well, not so hot. Posted 5 months ago.
