December 2009 Desktop Calendar by eScapes Photo

December 2009 Desktop Calendar

Yes indeed - winter is on the way. But what better way to prepare for the long dark cold struggle ahead then to look back six months to the start of summer - in Glacier National Park - where there was still, um, snow. Okay - bad example perhaps. And yet I survived my June snow.

Okay - it's the December desktop calendar and it comes with a twist - because it's actually two - two - two calendars in one. For the first time eveh (thanks yet again to Stacy for the brainstorm), we're coming out with companion calendars - both shot in Glacier. The one on the left - the desktop calendar - is from Grinnell Lake in East Glacier. The one on the right - the iPhone/iPod Touch background (oooh la la!) - is from Avalanche Creek - on the west side of Glacier. So click here to get one of five designer desktop sizes and your lovely iPhoto-sized image.

And click here to see the original story on beautiful Grinnell Lake - or click here to read up on the shot from Avalanche Creek.

Business Card Suite by eScapes Photo

Business Card Suite

I gotta admit, that after William Shatner, Paul Shaffer, Alanis Morrisette, Guy Lombardo, Darwin Wiggett, Joe McNally*, and Bruce Cockburn - that David duChemin is definitely one of my favorite Canadians.

And duChemin - and his cat - like to give stuff away - to photographers. And I - well I like to prostitute do whatever it takes to win free stuff. I was going to take a photo on top of his book "Within the Frame" but I felt guilty since I borrowed the book from someone else (hiya Stacy**) and abandoned the idea. So right now - that means posting this graphic of some of my business cards. So you do what you have to do.

You suck it up. To have an slim chance to win free stuff.

* - Okay - McNally - a Citizen of the World

** - Stacy - hurry up and read VisionMongers so I can borrow the damn book, ya know, ya hoser.

The Tree 57 by eScapes Photo

The Tree 57

I mean seriously - what else can I say about this subject? Really?

Always glorious in the fog.

Actually started life as a 45-shot stitch that absolutely kicked my CPU's rear end. Had to save 'em all out as JPEGs and then stitch 'em through PS CS3. Cropped to 25" x 10". That's quite enough of that.

The Tree 56 by eScapes Photo

The Tree 56

Made a visit over to The Tree as I was on my Friday morning Fog Tour of Tazewell County. Haven't posted a shot here since the end of March - good things happen when they finally harvest all that corn.
