We went to see Wynton and his Orchestra perform here in California . During our visit backstage my son, Myles was very attentive and observent, listening and watching the very gracious musicians in the Jazz Orchestra during their break between the shows. Little did I know, that he was invisioning himself in that atmosphere among muscians like himself. He played the clarinet
for Mr. Giones, the 1st chair and was extremely nervous. That night we spoke about his experience and he revealed to me that he could see himself traveling the world performing very much like he saw the members of the Wynton's Orchestra that night.
Thank you Mr. Marsalis for everything this experience has caused him to get serious about his vision for life including school and his music aspirations. Marlene (his Mom)

Cool! I met Victor Goines a few weeks ago at Essentially Ellington in NYC and he was extremely nice, as was Wynton. It's so cool to see all of these photos and hear all of these stories.
