Artist's Biography
Sue Fuller, painter, printmaker, sculptor and teacher, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1914. She is an alumna of the Carnegie Institute of Technology and Columbia University's Teachers College. In the summer of 1934 she was a student of Hans Hofmann and during the early 1940s attended Atelier 17 and studied design with Joseph Albers.
Fuller was a member of the Society of American Etchers, Society of American Graphic Artists and Artists Equity Association. She has taught at the University of Minnesota, Stourbridge School of Arts and Crafts, University of Georgia, Columbia University Teachers College, Pratt Institute and the Museum of Modern Art.
Her work has been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions and is represented in the collections of the New York Public Library, Chicago Art Institute, Tate Gallery, Library of Congress, Fogg Museum of Harvard University, Museum of Modern Art, Carnegie Institute, Whitney Museum, Metropolitan Museum, National Academy of Design, and many more.
