The Black Crow
For this assignment, we were supposed to take a piece of work from one medium (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc) and make it into another medium.
Most people made an exact replica of their piece, only, in a new medium. So, if someone picked a painted portrait for their original, they drew or sculpted it directly as they saw it. I thought that was a little boring, so I just used my original piece of inspiration ( www.ukiyoe-gallery.com/ukiyoe/a.crow2.jpg ) and made it into my own. Stylistically, it was inspired by Scott Hansen. I'm quite pleases with the turn out. Done in Photoshop and Illustrator. 24"x36" - 10 hours of work. To see a MUCH higher resolution version of this, go here: wyendrys.com/black_crow.jpg If you want to see some of the layouts/ideas I didn't use for this poster, click here. None of those are complete, they're just layouts I went through, before I reached the final version you see above. They're placed in order from earliest to latest. *If anyone reads Japanese, can you confirm that the type at the bottom reads "Black Crow." www.wyendrys.com CommentsWesley Yendrys says:thanks to you both!

I honestly find it mind-boggling that you manage to make those beautiful pieces at such a young age and would gladly give you a high five.
