I think this would be a lot better if the right part of the image wasn't so dull and grey. I tried burning several times, but I can't seem to get it right. Other than that, I love the guy on the bike looking at the water.

I really like this photo... Personally, I find the grey not bad actually because it makes the bike and the guy pop out from the duller tones.

Have you tried burning with a light filter in the enlarger? It helped me with one of my images?

I love this image, pity we don't have exposed hydrants in the UK, ours are under drain lids so we never see anything as spectacular!
