siena has amazing architecture, like many other italian cities. this scene reminded me of m.c. escher's "another world II".

Really impressive photo. I was there in the summer and it's beautiful. The light was to harsh to get a decent shot from inside (and not having a wide enough lense didn't help either). You've done an amazing job to get such a great photo.

Great shot!
Used to visit Italy a lot as a child, been to Sienna a couple of times. It's a wonderful city that I would like to experience again.

Their system of different city parts with different animals as symbols is fascinating - twice a year they dress up in medivial clothing and hold a strange horse-race on the citys biggest piazza. One of the strangest things I've experienced.

I'm an Italian Major at the University of Arizona, so myabe seeing this beautfil shot above my desk everyday will remind me that I'm working for the money to send to get down the Italian and get back to Italy!
