I-5 Grand Mound to Maytown, Stage 1

WSDOT is adding a third lane in each direction on an eight-mile stretch of I-5 in Thurston County. The $61.5 million project started in May 2008 and is on schedule to be complete in summer 2010.

About 60,000 vehicles a day travel this stretch of freeway and nearly 20 percent of those are freight trucks.
