From the roadway, it’s pretty obvious that the Bone River Bridge on US 101 needs to be replaced. Not only are the narrow lanes out of date with today’s standards, the wood bridge frame makes its presence known by peeking through the paved bridge deck. Those horizontal stripes across the bridge are spots where maintenance crews have patched the pavement that’s worn away from the wood beams running under the road.
This August, contractor Cascade Bridge LLC. will begin work to help us replace the aging structure. Work is scheduled to wrap up in 2014.
