Timberlite by Timberline

Timberlite by Timberline

Two models of Zytel-handled Timberlite folding knives. These featured an interesting lock known as the Neely Lock. To fold the knife, one must pull the blade away from the hande, gripping the thumb studs.

Rift and Seagal

Rift and Seagal

Benchmade 950 Rift (top) and Kershaw/Ken Onion Steven Seagal

The Rift features contoured G10 scales, a 154CM stainless steel blade and Benchmade's Axis Lock. This is my current daily carry.

The Kershaw Seagal features rayskin leather inlay on the handle. This knife was my daily carry prior to obtaining the Rift, as evidenced by its condition. I can testify to the effectiveness of the rayskin inlay for grip, as it provided very positive control even when wet. The main reasons I upgraded were the serrations and difficulty sharpening the reverse-curved blade.
