Fuji Superia 100
The other day I was particularly hit by a scene I saw in Prati, Rome. A pitchman, immigrant from Africa, selling forged bags in the streets was being run after by two policemen. In order to escape and avoid to be arrested, he threw all his things behind him and ran away. Policemen let him go, seized all the stuff he left behind and took it away.
I tried to guess what the feeling of the running man could be at that moment. He probably had nothing except from those bags and the small money he could get from them. And now he does not even have those. I guess it is like someone stole your wallet, your bank account and, above all, your hope for a better and normal life.
All my sympathy goes to those people who strive to live in a foreign country, living day by day, hoping for a better future, often forgotten and, for most of the people, without an identity.

Qualcuno ti potrebbe dire che "ci
vengono a togliere il lavoro" ...
La foto è bellissima (e il commento la
rende ancora piu' emozionante e commovente) e
soprattutto non fa assolutamente pensare ad
una persona senza identita' ... nonostante
"most of the people..."!
Complimenti

Thanx Sue & grazie Marco !
p.s. @ Marco: Intendevo "without an
identity" come assenza di un
riconoscimento da parte di una soicetà
organizzata (uno Stato? un clandestino non ha
documenti e in quanto tale non esiste
ufficialmente!). Così mi piaceva rafforzare
il concetto di "no identity",
rappresentando il venditore ambulante su uno
sfondo completamente piatto e dai colori
molto forti. In modo appunto da rafforzarne,
per contrasto, l'identità!! Solite pippe
mentali... ;-)

Yes! this is great - I like the fact that he
is looking out of the frame instead of into
the negative space. Works for me.
