OOH! I found a PDF of these on the web and I
am going to print them out to use in the same
way, they are so neat (although I don't quite
understand all of them) -- have you used
them? what do you think about them? I *love*
stuff like this, thank you for pointing them
out!!

Oblique Strategies are decidedly meant to be
used by musicians, and sometimes they seem a
bit ...oblique. Most are deliberately vague.
There's a consistent focus on intuition as
an opposite to over-rational-thinking. I
like that they suggest radical (and sometimes
seemingly destructive) course changes as
often as not. Some of them are especially
good things to hold in my head when I'm
pondering something.
I think they're a nice part of a mental
toolbox.
