Thanks everyone!! I fell off the ladder finishing off the last bit and now I have a 4" tree bark / doily burn on the inside of my right arm .... I felt pretty goofy and hoped none of my neighbours saw me go down....so far so good.

Thanks Koral, I did a bit of planning... I measured the main tree trunk width and height and worked that section out inside, then it was just a matter of wrapping it around the trunk. I used a glue gun for most of this project... why not??!! I started out sewing the pieces together but that got tired very quickly.. the glue gun is perfect for this project..it took about 4-5 hours total. Everything was thrifted, by the way!!

Paola, it's been raining for the past two days and I think the tree looks even better...the doilies seem to look more animated than ever.It will be interesting to see how long this lasts.

Than you so much everyone! Siebensachen, I work alone... my children help me every now and then. I prefer to work by myself, I tend to have 3-4 projects going at any one time.
