remembrance 6

There were several anti-war protesters nearby, although they seemed to be very respectful and quiet, making a point about the British government's less than honest and moral foreign policy decisions which have sadly added more names to the list of the fallen. I saw one chatting with a veteran and he didn't seem to mind. The contrast between a beautiful, sunny, peaceful spot like the Gardens on an autumn day and thought of what the men and women commemorated here went through is hard to take in.
