This a giant sculpture, rising 60 or 70 feet -- big even for Di Suvero. My visit to Storm King was one of the highlights of the summer of 2011. It also marked a major turnabout in my opinion of the sculpture of Mark di Suvero. I came away enthused about the man and his work. He has done great work encouraging new sculptors, and the range of his work is not so limited as I'd previously believed.

The Visitor or Nature Center

This lovely new center was built after the old one burned down. The interior has wonderful exhibits about nature with and lovely photos and paintings (on the walls).

The center's basic design appeared to be modeled after Shinto temples in Japan.
