these were taken in an alley in seattle near
the popular pike place market. it's made
just by people passing by who feel like
adding to it, and apparently it's been there
for years.

Well, too late to add my vote, so I'll just
comment. I'd have put a deleteme on anyways
so... the thing is, the color's great, but
the subject is soooo nasty! And it's a bit
too bright. And chaotic. And it reminds me of
standing in line to get on the waterslides at
(I think it was) the water park in Concord,
California. The towers there are covered in
gum... (or maybe it was Raging Waters in San
Jose... o who cares) Anyways, I never want to
come that close to so much chewed up gum
again - but this photo forced me to. Shame
shame on you!! (from Delete Me! group)

I don't find it disgusting at all. Sure, all
that was in someone's mouth once, but by now
I'm sure it's quite dry and as hygenic as any
other wall. It's a picture of an amazing
collaborative peice of natural art from
thousands of people who don't know each
other. I think that's awesome.

People are way too transfixed with a central
focus point. In reality there are only 3
elements that can be used in a composition:
Point, Line and Plane (frame is optional).
This one happens to use Plane as its focus,
eliminating the need for Line and Point.
Congratulations! This image is one of
Flickr's Most Interesting photos for 2 June 2005. Would you please add it to the Interestingness pool? It will be a great addition!
here's my crappy shot of this wall. It truly is disGUSTING!! and
it's so much larger than this pic lets on.
people are voting to "delete" but
hey I think you should save it because at
least your pic makes the gum wall
semi-appealing.
