Frustrated (2:53am - 03.12.06)
I really hate it when the camera won't focus. Stupid lens. I was obviously tired and frustrated. It took less than 10 minutes to fall back asleep. I feel rested.

:) i wonder how long it will take until you won't remember taking the shots because it became such a routine... you know like not really remembering going to the bathroom or getting a glass of water at night.

I admire your discipline for taking these 2:45 a.m. shots. By now, I would have called the series to a halt and stayed in bed. This is my favorite so far. That look of frustration is priceless.

very cool! I love editorial shots and this sure is it.

On a completely different note: You make me less anxious getting grey when I watxh your portraits . Looks really cool on you.
*what a gay comment*

Thanks Prozac; I don't mind going grey. In face, I'd say that aging is all about attitude. You can be 25 years old and be "older" than a 50 year old because of your attitude toward life. I just figure I can't stop getting older, so might as well just make sure I'm valuing the right things in life.

Wow, I think your experiment is cool!!
Love this picture. You look really tired and kinda bored.... Or grumpy maybe..
I'm curious if you will be able to keep doin' this for a while... ;-)

Great idea. This is my favorite so far.
At f11, can't you just take a shot, confirm that focus was accurate and then set the switch on the lens to MF? The next day just sit in the chair and fire the shutter again...
wiseacre photo (79 months ago | reply)
yeah, except that I'm never exactly in the same spot, I need a chair or something (as it's set up now I just kneel in front of the camera, half awake) ... so in MF I might sometimes be unfocused. I need to fix that; among other things

Ah, see, thus far - this is my favorite. Maybe the slow lens was a good thing. Keep it up!

I was searching online for a free photo of a frustrated face I could use to make postcard for sending to expired real estate listings. Like "Is Your House STILL For Sale?!?!"
Can I get your permission to use this pic?
