WIPO Director General Francis Gurry undertook an official visit to Latvia on May 8 and 9, 2012. During the visit, the Director General met with H.E. Mr. Andris Bērziņš, President of the Republic of Latvia, and H.E. Mr. Gaidis Bērziņš, Minister for Justice of the Republic of Latvia. The Director General also visited the Patent Office of the Republic of Latvia and delivered a key note address at the International Conference on Intellectual Property Rights Management held in Riga on May 8 and 9, 2012, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Patent Office.
