Following the signing of a collaboration agreement on May 14, 2012 between WIPO Director General Francis Gurry and Director of the Estonian Patent Information Centre Marius Kuningas, Estonia will provide its national patent and trademark collections for inclusion in WIPO’s online, searchable databases . Intellectual property (IP) information is a valuable public good to promote innovation and creativity in many countries like Estonia where innovation-based businesses are supported by a robust digital infrastructure.
