hi flickr!

i'll be on hiatus from now till christmas/new years... i've been extremely busy with school over these past few months so i felt it was time to take a formal break. :)

for the next month or so, i've made much of my photostream private, mostly because i've been really unhappy with pretty much every photo i've taken between now and the start of summer, and i hate to see my photostream filled up with terrible shots. (most of them will be back in 2010, and i'll try to take better ones* to make up for what i delete!)

see you then!

* the 50mm i'm getting for my birthday will certainly help. :D

.

oh, i just remembered: if anyone wants a google wave invite (i've got 7), message me.

forgetting by {the twinkling of an eye}

forgetting

the sunlight in its slow retreat,
the evening's soft forgetting...

now by {the twinkling of an eye}

now

catch a breath: you are
surrounded by oceans,
surrounded by galaxies,
you're awake and you're singing
in the midst of this deafening universe --
your dreams are innavigable.
you are
alive.
this is who
you were meant to be.

dream by {the twinkling of an eye}

dream

every evening, there is a falling
of lashes to cheek, lamplight to darkness;

night to humans is as
amber to wings:
a world encased in the warmth of stillness...

and the galaxies borrow our breath to unfold
in whispers and glances and dancing refractions
their ancient constellations, their storybook dreams
that arch overhead as we blindly sleep,
well-hidden from the sky.

just by {the twinkling of an eye}

just

to pull apart the shadows
and hold the light
-- diffused,
imperishable --
in one long everlasting glimpse
